About the Artist

Manon Sarah Thirriot’s work explores the concept of landscape through sculpture and installation. Her pieces investigate the perception and representation of spaces, drawing on memory and the stories embedded within them. Inspired by wandering and direct experience of places, her practice draws equally on art history and natural sciences, while employing artisanal techniques such as woodworking, marquetry, and woodturning.

She graduated with a DNSEP from the École des Beaux-Arts de [city] in 2016 and has participated in several residencies, including Nekatoenea in Hendaye (FR) in 2017, the Wicar Prize in Rome (IT) in 2020, La Condition Publique in Roubaix (FR) in 2024, and more recently Tamat – Museum of Tapestry and Textile Arts in Tournai (BE) in 2025.

She held her first solo exhibition in 2024 at Galerie Bacqueville in Lille, with the support of the CNAP. Her work has also been presented in group exhibitions in France, Belgium, and Australia.

Manon Sarah Thirriot continues to explore the relationship between space, memory, and sensory experience, creating works that invite viewers to wander and perceive the landscape in new ways.
