Alex Kindt (°1963, lives and works in Gullegem)

Lives and works in Gullegem, West Flanders.  

Alex Kindt has done the academy of Kortrijk. Started with “drawing”, he decided to continue with “sculpting”.

Alex Kindt spent for personal reasons a couple of years abroad. Apparently, as he says about works of these days,  he has been influenced by the beauty of nature.

Later on he decided to give it a try to profile himself again as a sculptor. This results usually, as he wants us to understand, in geometrical structures with a distant link to Brazilian modernist architecture.

Works, presented in the exposition, are works from a recent date and challenge, again according to the artist, the so-called tension between two parts, which are glued together in different unexpected angles.

The Gallery wishes to emphasise, that it doesn’t, and in no way, want to be seen, as if it represents this artist !
