Jean-Baptiste Brueder
Born in 1996, French, works and lives in Brussels
About the Artist
Marked by the architectural diversity of Brussels, Jean-Baptiste Brueder is attracted by its continual and incessant transformation. To echo this moving urban decor, he diverts materials and builders' gestures. Through drawing, bas-reliefs, and construction of structures and installations, Jean-Baptiste proposes a plural approach that challenges the rigidity of architectural practice to reveal its hidden fragility.
Graduated of the Beaux-arts de Toulouse and of a Master's degree in drawing from ENSAV La Cambre, he is the winner of the Prix Médiatine 2023. He participated in artistic residencies such as Moonens Foundation, Poelp Bruxelles and KULTXL.
